Overview

WG Connect is a WireGuard VPN client for Apple TV. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

WG Connect does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

The app operates entirely on your device and your local network. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind is included.

Data Stored on Device

The following data is stored locally on your Apple TV:

• VPN profile names and metadata — stored in a shared App Group container (UserDefaults) so the app and its VPN extension can communicate.
• WireGuard configuration keys — stored securely in the device Keychain, which is encrypted by the operating system.

This data never leaves your device except as encrypted VPN tunnel traffic to the endpoint you configure.

Local Network Access

WG Connect offers an optional feature to upload VPN configuration files from your phone via a temporary local web server. This server:

• Runs only while the upload screen is open
• Is accessible only on your local Wi-Fi network
• Does not transmit any data to the internet
• Stops immediately when you navigate away

Network Extension

The app uses Apple's Network Extension framework to establish WireGuard VPN tunnels. All VPN traffic is encrypted end-to-end using the WireGuard protocol (ChaCha20-Poly1305). The app does not inspect, log, or modify your VPN traffic.

Third-Party Services

WG Connect does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising frameworks.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Purchase Terms

WG Connect offers an optional one-time purchase ("WG Connect Premium") that provides unlimited VPN connection time.

• Price: $4.99 USD (one-time purchase, price may vary by country). The price is displayed in your local currency in the app before purchase.
• Free trial: All users can test the VPN connection for 120 seconds per session at no cost, with no commitment.
• Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. No recurring charges.
• Family Sharing: This purchase supports Family Sharing. One purchase can be shared with up to five family members.

By purchasing, you agree to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

Terms of Use

WG Connect is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The app facilitates VPN connections using the WireGuard protocol but does not provide VPN server infrastructure. You are responsible for obtaining your own WireGuard configuration from a VPN provider or self-hosted server.

We are not responsible for the security, reliability, or legality of any third-party VPN service you connect to through the app. Use of VPN services must comply with the laws of your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
